Incredible movie! I'm a bit of a WWII buff (I'd written a two or three books about the air war of WWII) and have probably seen every movie that contains anything about WWII ever made. While FURY isn't historical and perhaps not accurate in some areas of depictions, it's still an excellent movie. The acting is good, the story is compelling and it's pulled of with craftsmanship in story telling and production values. It's almost of the level of SAVING PRIVATE RYAN (without Steven Spielberg's heavy handed nostalgia).
Brad Pit is very under-appreciated actor. Everyone did a great job (does anything play a better @sshole than Jon Bernthal?), but Shia LaBeouf was the big surprise. After Transformer et al, and INDY 4 (arghhh!), let's say he just left me shaking my head. But he's changed my mind in a good way.
Unless you hate war movies or WWII, see this one. This one will be on the list of great war movies from here on out.
